You make a good point - I agree that holding out the troll card every single time can be rightly termed as dismissive.

But on the other hand, trotting out phrases such as "Apple fanboy" and "Apple freak" as an answer, when Scott (or anyone seeing Apple in a different light than you do) counters a point you've made can also be accurately characterized as dismissive.

As an Apple user dating back to Apple IIs, early Macs, the original PPC boxes, and onto iPods and yes, the iPad - I don't much care for it when my choices in technology are dismissed out of hand with dismissive labels.

Let's not be so dismissive of one another, how about that?

It is possible to make your points without the use of phrases such as "Apple fanboy" or "Apple freak". Please try that. Thanks!

It is also possible to criticize someone's post without labeling them a Troll, which as you say is as insulting as saying someone is a Machead, Apple fan boy, Kindle Fan boy etc...

as they say, the truth hurts. if you have something constructive to say, for, or against apple, or any company, feel free to say it. but keep the snide remarks to yourself and you can't be criticized for them, can you?

Hi Scott,

My only point was that we all have healthier discussions if we choose to avoid the use of labeling. It is a course of action one could choose to take or not. Taking it hopefully keeps the temperature down.
