Solaris (and Abbadon) are having a sale on Rebellion Publishing's website:
https://rebellionpublishing.com/sale/
Regional restrictions apply. There are several pages, easy to miss.
Has brand new stuff like Rebecca Fraimow's Lady Eve's Last Con and Yoon Ha Lee's Moonstorm.

Child of a Hidden Sea (Hidden Sea Tales #1) by A. M. Dellamonica is $1 in on Amazon.com
Going by their pattern, since this is an old Tor book and the first time it's been on sale, the other books in the series might get a discount soon.
Quote:
A rousing tale of adventure and adversity, politics and personal trials

One minute, twenty-four-year-old Sophie Hansa is in a San Francisco alley trying to save the life of the aunt she has never known. The next, she finds herself flung into the warm and salty waters of an unfamiliar world. Glowing moths fall to the waves around her, and the sleek bodies of unseen fish glide against her submerged ankles.

The world is Stormwrack, a series of island nations with a variety of cultures and economies—and a language different from any Sophie has heard.

Sophie doesn't know it yet, but she has just stepped into the middle of a political firestorm, and a conspiracy that could destroy a world she has just discovered...her world, where everyone seems to know who she is, and where she is forbidden to stay.

But Sophie is stubborn, and smart, and refuses to be cast adrift by people who don't know her and yet wish her gone. With the help of a sister she has never known, and a ship captain who would rather she had never arrived, she must navigate the shoals of the highly charged politics of Stormwrack, and win the right to decide for herself whether she stays in this wondrous world...or is doomed to exile.

Year of the Reaper by Makiia Lucier is $2 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
I don't remember why I was tracking this. YA standalone fantasy.
Quote:
The past never forgets . . .

Before an ambush by enemy soldiers, Lord Cassia was an engineer's apprentice on a mission entrusted by the king. But when plague sweeps over the land, leaving countless dead and devastating the kingdom, even Cas' title cannot save him from a rotting prison cell and a merciless sickness.

Three years later, Cas wants only to return to his home in the mountains and forget past horrors. But home is not what he remembers. His castle has become a refuge for the royal court. And they have brought their enemies with them.

When an assassin targets those closest to the queen,Cas is drawn into a search for a killer...one that leads him to form an unexpected bond with a brilliant young historian named Lena. Cas and Lena soon realize that who is behind the attacks is far less important than why. They must look to the past, following the trail of a terrible secret--one that could threaten the kingdom's newfound peace and plunge it back into war.

Walk to the End of the World (The Holdfast Chronicles #1) by Suzy McKee Charnas is $2 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
Was on my wishlist. The title on Amazon says it's an omnibus. The preview shows otherwise. The info on the page is copied from the paperback omnibus.
Quote:
The men of the Holdfast had long treated with contempt the degenerated creatures known as "fems." To give themselves the drive to survive and reconquer the world, the men needed a common enemy. Superstitious belief had ascribed to the fems the guilt for the terrible Wasting that had destroyed the world. They were the ideal scapegoat. The truth was lost in death and decay and buried in history. It was going to be a long journey back...

Only You Can Save Mankind (Johnny Maxwell #1) by Terry Pratchett is $2 in the US (Kobo, Amazon)
Quote:
The alien spaceship is in his sights. His finger is on the Fire button. Johnny Maxwell is about to set the new high score on the computer game Only You Can Save Mankind.

Suddenly:

We wish to talk.

Huh?

We surrender.

The aliens aren't supposed to surrender -- they're supposed to die! Now what is Johnny going to do with a fleet of alien prisoners who know their rights under the international rules of war and are demanding safe-conduct? It's hard enough trying to save Mankind from the Galactic Hordes. It's even harder trying to save the Galactic Hordes from Mankind.

But it's just a game, isn't it? Isn't it...?
Gogmagog by Jeff Noon and Steve Beard is ‎£2 in the UK (Kobo, Amazon)
First in a weird dulogoy. The sequel is out in December.
Quote:

Gogmagog tells the story of an epic journey through the sixty-mile long ghost of a dragon.

Travel is by boat, a rickety steam launch captained by veteran taxi pilot Cady Meade, on the river Nysis. In her heyday Cady carried people and goods from the thriving seaports of the estuary into Ludwich, the capital city. Now she’s drunk, holed up in a rundown seaside resort, telling her bawdy tales for shots of rum.

All that’s about to change, when two strangers seek her out, asking for transport, one of whom – a young girl – is very ill, and in great danger. The other, an artificial being of singular character, has secrets hidden inside his crystal skull. So begins the voyage of the Juniper.

The Nysis is unlike any other river. Mysteries unfold with each port of call. Not many can navigate these channels, not many know of its whirlpools and sandbanks, and of the ravenous creatures that lurk beneath the surface.

Cady used to have the necessary knowledge, and the powers of spectral navigation.

But her glory days are well behind her now. This might well be her final journey.

Across the Sand, Book 2 of The Sand Chronicles by Hugh Howey, is on sale for $1.99 today:

https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/across-the-sand
https://www.amazon.com/Across-Sand-C...dp/B09PGBRYK2/

Quote:
“Hugh’s imaginative worlds and tales within them never fail to entertain!”

—Andy Weir, New York Times bestselling author of Project Hail Mary

The first original novel from author Hugh Howey in six years, Across the Sand takes us back to the world of Sand, to a far future many generations after a disaster has destroyed civilization as we know it, where four siblings struggle to build their futures amid the harsh wastes of endless desert

The old world is buried. A new one has been forged atop the shifting dunes, a land of howling wind and infernal sand.

In this barren home, siblings Conner, Rob, Palmer and Violet daily carve out a future. They live in the shadow of their father and oldest sister, Vic, two of the greatest sand divers ever to comb the desert’s depths. But these branches of their family tree are long gone, disappeared into the wastes beyond, leaving the younger siblings scratching in the dust, hopeful for a better life.

On the other side of No Man’s Land, Anya was born beside the abundant mines knowing her prospects would be to marry, have a family, and work in ore, in service to the Empire of the East. But when an atomic bomb delivered by a stranger destroys most of her town—murdering all her friends and community—she follows her father to a strange land of dunes to bring vengeance to their enemies.

Two families collide across the sand, and nothing for a thousand dunes will ever be the same.

Songs of the Earth: Book One of The Wild Hunt by Elspeth Cooper
$0.75 - Amazon US

Quote:
The Book of Eador, Abjurations 12:14, is very clear: Suffer ye not the life of a witch. For a thousand years, the Church Knights have obeyed that commandment, sending to the stake anyone who can hear the songs of the earth. There are no exceptions, not even for one of their own.

Novice Knight Gair can hear music no one else can, beautiful, terrible music: music with power. In the Holy City, that can mean only one thing: death by fire—until an unlikely intervention gives him a chance to flee the city and escape the flames.

With the Church Knights and their witchfinder hot on his heels, Gair hasn't time to learn how to use the power growing inside him, but if he doesn't master it, that power will tear him apart. His only hope is the secretive Guardians of the Veil, though centuries of persecution have almost destroyed their Order, and the few Guardians left have troubles of their own.

For the Veil between worlds is weakening, and behind it, the Hidden Kingdom, ever-hungry for dominion over the daylight realm, is stirring. Though he is far from ready, Gair will find himself fighting for his own life, for everyone within the Order of the Veil, and for the woman he has come to love.

Coincidentally, I saw this book the other day, when I was looking for fiction about the Wild Hunt. This looks tempting, though the review titled the never ending story is making me hesitate.

A few sales I missed informing you about:
  • Exordia by Seth Dickinson. I got it immediately when I got the eReaderIQ notification, but waited too long to post. Was on my wishlist thanks to Vajra Chandrasekera's recommendation.
  • The Imposition of Unnecessary Obstacles by Malka Older - didn't have a notification set up, and missed the author's post about the sale.

I've read the first two of this series, and liked them, but yes, it is currently an unfinished series. Only three of the four books came out as intended. The final book is being worked on, and I am reasonably confident it will eventually appear. At my reading pace of 1 book every 4 or 5 years, I'm hoping it will be seamless.

I liked it when I read it some years ago, sadly the other books in the series haven't been on sale. Unfortunately, the review I wrote disappeared into the ether when the site I posted it on went down.

ETA: I see 2 & 3 are £2.99/£3.99 on Kobo UK.
