As I've complained about before, Michael McGarrity's books don't often go on sale in the US, and when they do, the sale price is usually $4 or $5. That's better than their non-sale prices, which are mostly $10 and up, but still not great. I really liked this series when reading in DTB, so over the years have gradually picked them up when they would go on sale for maybe $3 or so, But now here's Mexican Hat, which is the second Kevin Kerney book, on sale for $1.99 in the US. So grab it fast if you want it!.

Most of my favorite Joffe books are from older series, where the author appears to have gotten the rights back (or never had sold the e-rights) and Joffe is e-publishing them. Mostly Joffe focuses on cozies and police procedurals, so YMMV. And often Joffe may only have the beginning of a series
My most favorite that Joffe has so far is Simon Brett's Mrs Pargeter series, and they have a collection of the first 8 titles in the series for $0.99/£0.99. And although @issybird would disagree with me , this is my favorite of Brett's series, sliding in just above his Charles Paris series. Info is in @mitford13's previous post: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh....php?p=4349137 I also like, sort of roughly in order of preference: Ian Morson's historical William Falconer series (a rare historical series for Joffe), Rhys Bowen's Evan Evans super-cozy but fun series (wish they also had her Lady Georgie series), Jeanne M Dams' cozy Dorothy Martin series, MJ Trow's Maxwell series, and Dorothy Cannell's cozy Ellie Haskell series, all of which I got started on in DTB. In addition, they have a number of Patricia MacDonald's stand-alones, but I'm not fond of MacDonald, so can't speak to these. And they also list Denise Danks and DB Borton as authors, but haven't issued any of their books yet. I've liked some DTB books by each of those authors, so fingers crossed. I haven't really tried any of Joffe's series that I haven't had prior experience with, but have been really happy snapping up their inexpensive e-versions of books I had on my bookshelves - and now don't! I also grab the freebies, and some of the multi-book omnibuses for $0.99/£0.99, just in case my TBR list ever runs out of books . I suspect our tastes may be different, but that's MTCW... An odd non-Friday Joffe freebie, supposedly for today only??? Odd not being on Friday, that is, not that that book itself is odd . Which I wouldn't know, since it's a series I haven't read.
