There isn't any KTerm for the K4 (no K4 keyboard support), but -
The post mentions that this one (called: "the binary") can be run from a [command line] terminal.

On a K4, I guess that means you have to install the USBnetworking package and either ssh or telnet into the Kindle.
Then use the full path and file name of where you put the binary.
(/mnt/us/extensions/irc/accirc - if you dropped it into */extensions/irc)

There might be a terminal application for the K4 and I have just forgotten what it is.

As far as knc1 & I remember, yep. myts might run, but you probably won't be able to do anything with it.

would it be possible to make a script that runs in half of the screen so there is room for the osk, and get that script to launch from KUAL?

You'd still need a terminal emulator to run accirc on, and a way to feed the osk keyboard input there.

Editing an existing post when possible is good advice since it cuts down on the clutter.
And editing a post does not 'bump' the thread in the index.

As used at this site, Glorfindel has it correct, we call posting the same post content to more than a single thread "double posting".
Not just 'bumping' a thread.

Give the Internet another generation or two of users, and all of these terms will become standard usage - until then, well, a reader has to remain a bit flexible in the usage of terms from site to site.
