I found why I didn't get the cover. I have deselected in calibre the option to read metadata from file so it did not create the cover. It works fine. I am installing Comicrack, I will try to insert comics and tag them. I keep you posted. Hugo |

Comicrack installation
Quote:
As I get RAR or folders, I want to be able to convert them easily in CBZ. For the metadata, I read from DickLoraine that Comictagger would be able to tag the CBZ in ComicBookLover way. Do you use ComicBookLover ? I started ComicRack installation yesterday and I have a question : I have a keyboard issue on my VM (VirtualBox), I have a french azerty keyboard but when I open a command line on Windows within the VM, is is in QWERTY. Do you have any ideas about that ? Other question : I want from ComicRack within the VM to access the public folder where I store all the comics I have. This public folder is stored on the NAS. Did you do that ? Thanks for your help, Hugo |

For the custom columns inside main page, I would not want to make something which becomes too much complicated to configure. It could be to show only the first custom column of the list in a line at the end of the text of the book. As I would not want to have to reduce the size of the text to allow the addition of this line (that I would not use), the user will maybe have to adapt the css following his device if he wants to show this custom column... Could this suit? |

For integration : Comictagger - how to get title correctly ?
How to handle graphical novels, each one with a title ?
I am using MyReadings interface for few weeks and I would like to integrate all my albums (comics, mangas, but also graphical novels) in calibre databases. For that I need tagging, I installed Comic Book Lover on my Mac. I did the metatagging for some graphical novels. It works well... But I wont be able to do it for each one... I read about ComicTagger and it seems really cool. I have found that the fastest way to get metadatas correctly is through parsing filenames. But... here is my question : ComicTagger seems really oriented to comics with a parsing on series titles and issues numbers. from the page : http://code.google.com/p/comictagger...neral_Features SERIES_NAME vVOLNUM ISSUENUM (of COUNT) (PUBYEAR).ext How do you handle graphical novels, each one with a title ? Example I have found on ComicVine : "the initiates" http://www.comicvine.com/the-initiates/4050-57195/ It is a graphical novel with 1 issue. How do I need to name the file so I can be able to get correctly the metadatas ? And for multiple albums for a same serie ? example : Asterix Thanks for your help on this topic, it'll help me to write a tutorial on a fast way to integrate into myreadings. |

Hello,
In fact, your question does not concern directly My Readings. It is rather a question of knowing how to name a file to import it in Calibre. I have no absolute rule because, generally, I import my files with names which allow to fill partially metadatas and I complete them in Calibre. Installed v0.4.2 in production. Everything is fine !
Seems to work faster. Installed latest dev in dev environment. (in a folder named myreadings-dev, thanks Git with git --reset hard git pull and configuration it was fast) I am now trying to use multiple Calibre DBs : one for public comics one for grown up comics (with parental control) I wonder if the post method now used for authentification in the admin.php will also be used. I keep you posted. |

Hello,
I use generally rather the method GET because it is easier to make my tests. On what part would it seem useful to use rather the method POST? Nevertheless, it is possible that I will use POST method for big requests because use of numerous parameters can raise problem in GET... |

hey I just found this thread in my digital travels, and I'd LOVE to try this thing out -- however none of the download links I've found in the thread seem to work.
Anybody have a link to the most recent version? Some install/guide info would be an extra bonus. |

Hello, the link in my first post is the good one for install/guide and donwload link (but it's in french):
http://sbdomo.esy.es/my-readings-presentation/ It's a free host, then it is possible that it is not always available. |
