It's always a good practice, in my opinion, to let newer members know about Goodereader's unethical business practices.
Members of Mobileread - if you are not aware of Goodereader's negative reputation - then click on those links above and educate yourselves. Last edited by Dr. Drib; 09-28-2020 at 10:44 PM. |

Onyx they should've had one - 1 - product launch a year. If you're working at Onyx, reading this, please have a discussion on it; reconsider the current policy. I mean, we've just got the Onyx NoteAir, but also word of the Note 3, so ... I'll just wait and wait and wait for the Onyx Note 3, which may or may not come immediately after Air. And who knows, a little later we'll have word of the Note 4.

I don't want to buy a Note Air now, or at least I am somewhat reluctant, cuz the Note 3 is upcoming. It's common, and correct me if I am wrong, to launch the flagship device first (like iPhone 11 first), and then launch an economy version later (like the SE version). That way around would be fine. Im with you, the prospect of note 3 has me unwilling to pull trigger on note air. But if I knew note 3 was a year away I’d buy the air today.

Is Boox owned by Samsung or Motorola?

So, basically, the thread title should be changed from 5 to 6 new devices, if one were to include the Note 3.
I know of at least two people who are not going to buy the Note Air until they can compare that device against the Note 3. The Note Air is supposed to be released on Oct. 10. Last edited by Dr. Drib; 10-04-2020 at 09:21 AM. |

The Note Air has a very smaller battery (3000mAh) then Onyx Note 2 (4300mAh) and I wonder what is the actual battery duration with "normal use". Despite this the Note 2 is even lighter (420g Note Air and 378g Note 2)

Yes, I see now: There are 5 devices listed, with 2 different devices having the exact same screen size of 10.3-inches. |

Processor Updated Octa-Core / Octa-Core Memory 3gb DDR4 + 32gb / 4gb DDR3 + 64gb Battery 3000mAh / 4300 mAh Wireless BT5.0 / BT4.1 OS Android 10 / Android 9 Fingerprint reader No / Yes Weight 420gr / 378gr Price $480 / $550 So the Air wins processor, wireless, OS and price. The 2 wins fingerprint reader, battery and weight. The memory is a partial win for both if you allow for the presumably better DDR4. If you go only by memory size the 2 wins it all. Not a slam dunk easy choice compared to some. Last edited by LDB; 10-04-2020 at 10:31 PM. |
