No problems with you offering your opinion. However it is expected that you will accept that other people will have differing opinions and trying to change their opinions is not going to work. There are some people (probably not on this forum) who feel that reading an ebook is not as good as reading a paper book. That you can't retain the infomation as well and other objections. I think most of us here would disagree. Just the same, some people find audiobooks a better way to read at least some of the time.

I actually agree with the retaining part, even though I seldom read paper books anymore and always, always prefer ebooks. I have noticed I remembered things better in the past when I read paper books. As I read 100% for pleasure, it doesn't stop me from reading ebooks, but it's something to consider, at least for me (not saying it's necessarily true for others).

Then again, it might be the early onset of senility. Who knows.

I don't disagree. I just found it a bit comical that some would think this forum is somehow "fierce." I've had more spirited differences of opinion with people I'd give my life for compared to the kerfuffles amongst the relative strangers around here.

The same story in pBook, eBook, and audiobook are all the same book. Doesn't matter which way you digest it. You get the same information. Words are words. You're dislike for audiobooks is just wrong. What do you think of people who think eBooks are not real books? Are you happy with that?
