I did get the email and forwarded it to customer support, hoping to avoid spending a lot of time on the phone chasing it down. I’ll give it some time; perhaps by waiting they’ll at least be quicker to act on direct contact.

This always, always happens with Audible. Once I quit this time, I’ll be away for a long time.

Wow, this is one time when everything worked perfectly for me; I didn't even have to consider calling Audible.

I used the app, but I was not connected to the Internet when listening. I did see the "finished" banner on the books I listened to, took a screenshot of the three "finished" banners (in case I needed proof), and then deleted the books, all of which were borrowed with a KU or Escape trial membership. I got an e-mail after the first book, but nothing after having completed the challenge. And, as I said earlier, the Amazon credit was in my inbox when I woke up yesterday morning.

Before I saw the trouble others are having, I was thinking how nice it was that Audible got its act together for once! I guess I just lucked out!

I've sent them a strongly worded email. Early on in the promo I had a screen congratulating me for completing the challenge. Every one of the books was listened to on my phone which was always connected. Most of them did go to the credits. All of them were marked finished *except the few I didn't finish. Bait and switch!

I got a reply to my email which attached the email telling me I’d completed the challenge.

I was hoping to avoid the time those chats take; see tubemonkey above.

I did follow it up with a phone call which was reasonably expeditious; the rep verified that I’d completed the challenge and said they were aware of the issue. However, he couldn’t/wouldn’t deal with it on the spot and was going to forward it to the resolution people. So now I wait some more. I figure I’ll get it eventually; I’d like to get it without more effort on my part.

So, I did the chat thing. The rep tried to tell me I didn't qualify because it's only for US member. Here's a clue -- both my Amazon and Audible account are US accounts! But she immediately offered a $20 Audible credit, and frankly that's more useful right now anyway, so I took it. Total time? About 5 minutes.

It worked for me too. I've had to spend my time on the phone in the past. I'm thrilled this time I don't have to do so.

My wife got hers without incident.

I had to call CS, get told I wasn't eligible, get escalated, get annoyed by the supervisor's attitude, forward a copy of the email I got from them saying that, yes, actually I was eligible, and had completed the challenge and would be getting the reward, and then they emailed be back a promo code for Amazon, which I can only hope will work when I try it.

My son also didn't get his, but also never got an email saying he completed the challenge (which I'm guessing is because he did it after the tracker, and apparently their whole system, was broken) so on chat they offered him a $20 Audible credit. I said no, he should get what he was promised. So we're waiting 24-48 hours for a manager to call us back.

Audible has royally screwed up here, both on managing the promo and handling the problems they caused.

I definitely played all the way through the credits. I thought it might matter - plus, I was cross stitching, and didn't want to put down my project till it was convenient. BUT I did not receive any email about being eligible (I started after the counter went down). And I don't really feel like the bother of calling them.

Yet. I might, I guess.
