Without that, it looked like it was saying, "once you put your books on our platform, you can't remove them and we can keep selling them forever, and we can make changes to them and sell that version instead." I was pretty sure that wasn't what was intended. Quote:

Well, for most books, sure. But if you only kept the the ones that sold well, even after the publisher decided to close their account, you'd be making money on those! (Which seemed like way too much of a power grab to be what was intended.)

Haha indeed. We cannot do that at all. No publishers would have agreed to use the platform if that was the case. Don't think any platform online has that kind of power. Not even Kindle(or i would hope)

Could there be a version of e-readers in the future?

We will have a version optimized for Android based e-ink readers in 2020. Unfortunately Kindle eInk devices are closed and so we will not be able to build a version for that.
When you say e-readers you meant eBook based devices correct? |

Got it. To be honest support is planned for Android based e-ink devices first. We will be rolling out our desktop app in 2020.
However, we will start thinking about those devices during the development of our desktop app to see if we could reuse parts of the codebase. If this is a high priority item for most of the premium readers then we will prioritize an app version focused on Kobo or Nook. |

We know our app could be more polished and have a big UI/UX refresh for 2020. Could spare 5 minutes to provide us with feedback by answering the questions in the survey below to help us build a great reading platform for you?
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1cGC...ZohEaxwd0/edit If you have not tried BookFusion yet, then please also complete the survey if you have changes you would like incorporated into what you consider the ideal eBook platform. Last edited by skillachie; 11-11-2019 at 10:41 AM. |
