Thank you so much (a pledge is coming) this worked fine. And using a symbol in front of the categories puts them on top. But I would like to create some categories that won't appear on the first page. I tried not using a symbol, but they still showed up in random order. Anyone else figure out how to manipulate categories (Amazon, we need alphabetization!)

Sadly it seems that if you sort by collection they will always be sorted by most recent first. Hopefully Amazon will fix this, until then I am adding underscores to my categories and leaving the home screen sorted by title.

I dont sort by collections anymore, but use the ** for collections I want in the first couple of places, * for the collections I want on the first page, and # for collections I want on the last couple of pages; then sort by Title. The rest of the books 'appear' using this method, but you can ignore them as they start after the collections.

when i put amazon full update to the kindle that i updated from this thread earlier, kindle automatically deletes it. Therefore i assume that the versions are exactly the same.
