We are definitely having a White Christmas here in the Icebox. There is about 18 inches on the ground and 6 to 10 more coming Tuesday and Wednesday. How much snow does that fat bastich need in order to land a sleigh on my roof? :sheesh:

Today, we're pretty much the same as yesterday - hard, blue sky, cicadas, 29C, lightest of breezes, swim, drink, lather, rinse, repeat. I've a migraine though, making it far less pleasant. Cheers, Marc Last edited by montsnmags; 12-23-2008 at 02:32 AM. |

The weather is definitely weird here. We went out at mid-day. Temperature was 34 degrees and the fog was very thick. Hubby took me out to dinner tonight and I noticed that though it was still foggy, it was much farther off the ground, though the temperature was still 35 degrees. After dinner and a short trip to the grocery store to finish up the shopping for the Christmas feast, I noticed that the temperature had risen to 45 degrees. Not what one expects to happen after dark.

After another bright, sun-shiny day of about 27C, and a lovely afternoon swim in the pool (pool water temperature, about 28C, sun-warmed), we nearly got some light storms this evening. We're expecting 30C tomorrow, and to nearly get some light storms in the evening too. I should stop repeating myself, because this pretty much describes all of summer (except the "nearly" comes with more certainty as summer progresses, and the "light" changes to "Well, Thor seems pretty farked off this evening, doesn't he? I hope the roof stays on and the house doesn't leak too much").
If it matters any, if I wasn't living here I'd be dreaming of a white Christmas I've never had. Cheers, Marc (about off to bed) |
