I thought KU stuff had to be exclusive to Amazon. I guess Open Road is big enough to get a different deal.

The few big-name authors and publishers who've agreed to be in Kindle Unlimited aren't bound by the exclusivity thing. That's just for self-published and smallish press stuff.

The Temple and the Stone by Katherine Kurtz, Deborah Turner Harris is one of Open Road Media's daily deals for $1.99 today.
This is not from the Deryni series which I recommend (see below), but seems to be related to the Adept series the two authors wrote together.

https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/the...nd-the-stone-2
https://www.amazon.com/Temple-Stone-.../dp/B01FRQEV8S

During the fight for Scotland’s independence, the mystical Order of the Knights Templar battles ancient evil and a treacherous king in this gripping alternate history.

In case you haven't got it previously The Legends of Camber of Culdi Trilogy
(Camber of Culdi, Saint Camber, and Camber the Heretic) by Katherine Kurtz is currently still $2.99

The Icerigger Trilogy (Icerigger, Mission to Moulokin, and The Deluge Drivers)
by Alan Dean Foster is currently $1.99

https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/the-icerigger-trilogy
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0090WS1E6

Three novels from a New York Times–bestselling author: an exhilarating adventure that follows a group of human castaways stranded on an icy alien planet.

Icy, desolate, and sharply carved by hurricane-force winds, Tran-ky-ky is a terrible place to crash-land. But a botched kidnapping aboard the interstellar transport Antares sends Ethan Frome Fortune and a handful of his fellow travelers tumbling toward the stormy planet. Stranded and cut off from civilization, the castaways struggle to survive.

In this page-turning trilogy, Fortune confronts vicious predators (even the plants want to make a meal of him) and forges an alliance with a native Tran. As he searches for a way off Tran-ky-ky, he helps the Tran gain admission to the Humanx Commonwealth and learns about their troubled history. Just as Fortune accepts that he’ll never escape the harsh planet and acclimates to its relentless winter, he learns that scientists have detected rising temperatures in the atmosphere. This sinister change leads Fortune to a thrilling and unexpected final adventure.

I have Icerigger in PB form somewhere in storage. It'll be nice to revisit and then read the sequels.

Day Watch by Sergei Lukyanenko (Night Watch Book 2) is currently $2.99

https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/day-watch-2
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DB3FSQY

Synopsis
The second book in the internationally bestselling Night Watch series—the powers of Darkness and the forces of Light grow closer to war.
For the past one thousand years, the two factions of the Others—an ancient race of magicians, shape-shifters, vampires, and other supernatural beings—have been locked in an uneasy truce as the powers of Darkness and the forces of Light secretly maneuver for the upper hand.
Now in the thrilling follow-up to the internationally bestselling Night Watch, we track members of the Dark Others—called the Day Watch and tasked with keeping the Light Others in check—including a young witch who has had the tragic misfortune of falling in love with a Light Other; a powerful warlock struggling to understand his purpose in the war; and a top lieutenant who worries that Zabulon, the leader of the Day Watch, is planning to betray him. Meanwhile, a forbidden artifact with the ability to bring the most dangerous Dark magician in history back to life has gone missing.
As the inevitable war between the forces of Darkness and Light threatens to destroy modern-day Moscow, it becomes clear that good and evil are only a matter of perspective.

The first book Night Watch is also currently available for $1.99
https://www.kobo.com/us/en/ebook/night-watch-15
https://www.amazon.com/Night-Watch-B.../dp/B00DB3FSNW

Synopsis
They are the "Others," an ancient race of supernatural beings—magicians, shape-shifters, vampires, and healers—who live among us. Human born, they must choose a side to swear allegiance to—the Dark or the Light—when they come of age.
For a millennium, these opponents have coexisted in an uneasy peace, enforced by defenders like the Night Watch, forces of the Light who guard against the Dark. But prophecy decrees that one supreme "Other" will arise to spark a cataclysmic war.
Anton Gorodetsky, an untested mid-level Light magician with the Night Watch, discovers a cursed young woman—an Other of tremendous potential unallied with either side—who can shift the balance of power. With the battle lines between Light and Dark drawn, the magician must move carefully, for one wrong step could mean the beginning of annihilation.

The Horror Stories of Robert E. Howard is $1.99 at Amazon US and Kobo right now.

I'm not up on the US copyright status of Howard's works, so I hope someone can point in an appropriate public domain direction if I'm steering people wrong.

Quote:
Here are Howard’s greatest horror tales, all in their original, definitive versions. Some of Howard’s best-known characters–Solomon Kane, Bran Mak Morn, and sailor Steve Costigan among them–roam the forbidding locales of the author’s fevered imagination, from the swamps and bayous of the Deep South to the fiend-haunted woods outside Paris to remote jungles in Africa.

The collection includes Howard’s masterpiece “Pigeons from Hell,” which Stephen King calls “one of the finest horror stories of the twentieth century,” a tale of two travelers who stumble upon the ruins of a Southern plantation–and into the maw of its fatal secret. In “Black Canaan” even the best warrior has little chance of taking down the evil voodoo man with unholy powers–and none at all against his wily mistress, the diabolical High Priestess of Damballah. In these and other lavishly illustrated classics, such as the revenge nightmare “Worms of the Earth” and “The Cairn on the Headland,” Howard spins tales of unrelenting terror, the legacy of one of the world’s great masters of the macabre.
