Yep, you nailed it. A good chunk of these offers are designed to bring in brand new customers using specific devices and/or storefronts. It can get most confusing for new customers and quite frustrating for current customers who won't qualify.

Last year, some items were being sold at four different prices at four different storefronts. Some of these deals were restricted to new customers and some weren't. And if you weren't paying attention, you could end up paying $10 more because you ordered it from the wrong store.

You definitely need a scorecard to know what the heck is going on.

I was just going to post this! Amazon affiliate group is even asking us affiliates to post the deals that won't bring us a commission (like ordering the echo? or Dot or whatever via alexa.) Sure, just because we're nice guys we'll do free advertising that cuts out future commissions...I thought that was a really weird email to send out! But, from the deal listed, it's pretty obvious they are going hard after new users of the devices and new customers!

The promotional credit will not appear visibly in your account, but you will see the amount applied on the receipt after you make a purchase. The credit can be used for anything sold and fulfilled by Amazon.com, including digital purchases, and will not apply to items sold by third party sellers. If your eligible purchase is less than $10, you may spend the remaining amount on another eligible purchase. All that I know is that they need to go ahead and get the prime rib roast that I ordered for prime day. Better not wait until the last minute! Of course, it won't take but about 5 hours at 350 degrees for a whole one to cook, the way that I ordered it, and about 3 1/2 for half a roast. It needs a rub on top of it, but I'll let them decide on that--salt and pepper by themselves work good. The au jus sauce is a last minute thing, of course. You might go ahead and make sure that you can buy prepared horseradish in that area. I think that it is mainly eaten by Jewish people and if there are not a lot of them around there, it may be hard to acquire. And prime rib without a little horseradish sauce on the side . . . well, it's like a hug without a squeeze.

I can't wait to sink my teeth into that luscious piece of prime rib! um UM!
