So I really can't complain about that. Some things do take longer though. Prime Shipping is not what it used to be (except in my special case surrounded by distribution centers, and only for items that are in stock locally - which is quite a lot actually).
Same here, there's at least three Amazon distribution centers in a four hour drive radius, so stuff usually arrives very quickly. There are some exceptions, for example some floor mats I ordered for dad for his car. Those are apparently custom made after the order's received, so a two week delay's understandable.

And during previous Prime Day sales the shipping time wasn't impacted much (a day or two slower at most), including July's. Why this one was one different is a very good question.

If I had to take a guess, I would say a LOT of people are doing some early Xmass shopping! That is going to slow things down.

Naturally things are changing for Amazon, they have a HUGE customer base, but even with expansion, they are probably having hiring difficulties just like every other large corporation.

I'm just grateful that Amazon exist because it saves me time and energy from wasting my time having to go out to shop, then lug it home, providing I even find what I'm looking for. If I save money on whatever I get, that's a bonus.

Sam's Club November Savings & Doorbuster Ads Posted

Quote:
As promised in our last post, we have 2 new ads from Sam's Club for you to check out. First is the 42-page November Instant Savings book. This is Sam's Club's traditional monthly sale ad and runs from November 1st through the 22nd.

Next is the 6-page November Doorbusters ad. This is a 3-day sale which runs from Friday, November 3rd through Sunday, November 5th. While this sale is both online and in clubs, there are some deals labeled in-club or online-only.

Unfortunately there are no Black Friday deals in this book this year. Sam's Club states that their Black Friday sale runs from November 23rd through the 26th. We're hopeful that they will post an online preview of their Black Friday sale at some point before the sale starts, and should that happen we'll be sure to post it here.
Sam's Club "Savings Season" Schedule Released

Thanksgiving Day (November 23rd) starts their popular annual Black Friday "Thanks-Savings" Sale which will take place through the Sunday the 26th, followed by a 2-day Cyber Monday sale on the 27th and 28th of November.

November 29th through December 26th will see another Instant Savings sale. There will be a 3-day "December Doorbusters" sale on December 1st through the 3rd. Expect the Sam's Club holiday catalog to be posted here on the site in the next day or two. If you received a copy in the mail this week, let us know!

Sam's Club Black Friday "Priceless" Preview Released

Quote:
Sam's Club has updated their Black Friday landing page with a preview of over 100 of their upcoming Black Friday deals, unfortunately without prices. We've added screenshots of this deal preview to the site which you can view here

Last year Sam's Club did something similar - they initially released a web site preview with no prices, then around 2 weeks before the sale started they released an ad with a traditional print-style layout, but again, without prices.

Finally, a few days before their sale started they released an updated ad scan with prices included. We'll be updating their ad posted here on the site with these updated versions should they use the same ad release strategy this year as well.

Do any of the warehouse clubs let you be a member, and shop online, without ever visiting the store?

If you are a member of Sam's Club or Costco, you do not have to buy in store unless you want to. I do both though.
We have a Sam's Club here and I by instore and online. The nearest Costco is an hour and a half away. I have a membership and only go to the store for my glasses. I have bought a number of big-ticket items at better prices than anyone else. Earlier this year I bought a 36" GE Profile Induction cooktop. The regular price was $2,500.00 Home Depot and Lowes had it on sale for $2,200.00. Costco had the exact same model for $1,700.00 and free shipping. I am now a huge fan of Induction cooktops.

I belong to both but think Sams is preferable for shopping online for everyday things. I like Sams because the premium membership ($110) includes extended "members only" hours and most everything shippable ships for free.
I can also shop and pay online, select a pickup time and they bring it out and load up the vehicle... all included in the fee. I also really like their app which works great and allows you to skip the checkout line if you do venture inside.

Costco online leaves a lot to be desired IMO. They have good prices on big ticket items but grocery shopping online doesn't really seem feasible. Also, prices seem to be more expensive online. On the plus side, if you actually go in the store they have a lot of high quality and organic items. I think Costco has higher quality food than Sams overall but they make you hunt for it. Yeah, they constantly shuffle crap around to make you look for it.

Sam's Club has almost everything in the store listed online, even if it isn't shippable, while Costco doesn't, so it's definitely the better option on that front. (You can order non-shippable items online, but only with a pickup at store option. They weren't doing delivery last time I checked.) Every time I've tried to look up a grocery item at Costco to see what it'll cost it wasn't on the site, so they don't seem to list most of their groceries online.

What Apache does only works if you live close enough for delivery from the store. My Costco's 45 minutes away by car, so a lot of stuff on the site isn't available for me to buy online because they won't ship it. Prices can be higher, because they tend to factor the shipping cost into the listed price. For example they had a really good sale on some wire storage shelving recently and it was $20 more online than in the store, because it was heavy and shipping was expensive.

One caveat: Both stores may have some in-store only deals for Black Friday sales. If you're wanting one of those items, you'll have to go to the store.
