Yup, that's all correct.
The easiest usage is if the device is off already. Plug the cable into the desktop, push the shorting button, plug the cable into the device, wait a second, release the shorting button. More awkward with a powered device. Plug both cable ends in, push shorting button, push power button 10+ seconds, release power button, wait a second, release the shorting button. |
