Strange, that a great deal of music by Schoenberg and Berg is out of copyright, but Heidegger's Being and Time is not. The book itself was published in 1927, which would give us about ten years to wait if the first translation that I can find hadn't been published in 1962.
Oh, well. A friend and I were arguing about H's Destruktion presaging decon and now it seems I'll be visiting Kobo tomorrrow. |

Thanks for fixing the link. Now I finally understand how youtube links work here (and I could fix my own one. - There can never be too many links to that video!)

It would be great if someone could upload an lrf version of "Something Fresh", the first Blandings novel by P.G. Wodehouse. The only format available in the library is a PRC; I'm not sure what that is.

PRC is usually mobi. PRC and PDB were the two extensions that worked for Palm OS; each of them was used for multiple types of files. For ebooks, PRC was normally mobipocket; PDB was both ereader and PalmDOC.

Sorry H, was under the mistaken impression that all Wodehouse was in public domain.

Hugh Walpole
Hugh Walpole died in 1941, so he should be out of copyright in all the life+70 countries - and indeed PG has a small number of his books.
But I'm looking for Mr Perrin and Mr Traill, first published in 1911 (so public domain even in the US) - does anyone know whether there's any version available (for free) anywhere? If there's a PDF out there I'd be happy to have a go at producing a reasonable epub/mobi version. [edit] I then immediately discovered that this book was published in the US under the title The Gods and Mr Perrin, and there are (messy) copies available from US libraries. I'll see what I can do with them - unless anyone knows a nice clean version? Last edited by Araucaria; 02-02-2013 at 02:59 AM. |
