I think may have been a mistake or meant as an a non-functioning example and is to was corrected several messages later in the original thread.

The correction may have changed mod to integer division, and the two hard coded numbers are bracketing presumed reading speeds.

I use

program:ceiling($$#words / 2095)/10

which gives me value in hours with one decimal place. I back-calculated the '2095' value by checking about 10 books on my Kobo for the actual time it took me to read them.
