Eh, just watch Space Seed. Then go straight to the movie!
Whatever you do, don't watch Spock's Brain. |

It's generally considered the worst Star Trek episode ever. It was thrown together in a rush at a time when they had not been expecting to be renewed for a third season. You know that episode "The City On the Edge of Forever"? Well, "The Brain of Spock" is just like that in terms of quality, except on the negative side of the number line.

Hmm, makes it an interesting watch... I've never watched many TOS episodes. At least, not that I can remember now...

Some of them were real treats. That one I mentioned ("The City On the Edge of Forever") is my personal favorite. Another really clever one, and the only two-part show in the original series, is "The Menagerie". That one took some footage from the pilot episode (which was never shown, and which, with the exception of Leonard Nimoy, featured an entirely different cast) and built an episode around it featuring Spock's direct disobedience of StarFleet law and his subsequent court-martial trial.
The undisputed fan favorite is "The Trouble With Tribbles", although that's not one that's especially high on my list. |

Mind you, although I'm not as enamored with the original tribbles episode as most, I loved that episode of Deep Space Nine where Cisco and his crew traveled back in time to that tribble encounter.

When did the Renaissance begin?
Over five hundred years ago, a man named Petrarch climbed a mountain just to see the view. It was a new kind of thinking, it became the beginning of the Renaissance. The name of that mountain was Ventoux.
-- Frank Black, Millennium (Episode #34 - Luminary) To-day [April 26, 1336] I made the ascent of the highest mountain in this region, which is not improperly called Ventosum. My only motive was the wish to see what so great an elevation had to offer. -- Francesco Petrarca: Letter to Dionisio da Borgo San Sepolcro (The Ascent of Mount Ventoux) |

It always amazes me how ferrets can so easily push and pull things that weigh at least as much as they do.
