Nope no schools in Australia - we learn English from drawing patterns in the dirt. From kangaroos.

I believe that most if not all screens have some kind of defect. I'm one who sees the defects but I can find a screen (Apple devices included) that looks perfect to me or has minimal defects that don't bother me. I just wish it wasn't so hard to find one of those. I hate the exchange game!

Actually, that would be, "Let's go to the Bezoses' house." One is a Bezos; two or more are Bezoses.

That makes undeniable sense!
We add '-es' to potato to signify more than one. And then we add the singular or plural possessive marker. Potato Potatoes http://speakspeak.com/resources/engl...to-add-s-or-es Last edited by Dr. Drib; 06-29-2016 at 05:48 PM. |

How dare you!
I have found perfect screens twice-once on a kindle Pw2 (first go, first ever lit ereader) which set me up for some pretty poor experiences in the future, getting addicted to ebooks and going through a slew of faulty ereaders, basically every single major one, exchange games, return games, keeping games, all that horrible horrible stuff and have ended up with a perfect H2O,first try as well. Don't know what it is. I assume it's got something to do with the physics of the light layer - its not a manufacturing fault, the industry knows it exists but ignores it, but obviously manipulating the light through a plate of see through glass is going to yield some strange results. From grade 9 science - the colour temperature changes due to the angle of refraction/diffraction of the light passing through it? Might have to conduct some experiments! Not playing the exchange game any more. Not worth the stress. e- Reading for me is now a seamless, relaxing, immersive and convenient hobby thanks to my Kobo and these days it looks like I should be happy for that mercy alone! Edit: In saying that, I think Kobo have done a better job with the lighting than Amazon across all the various ereaders. And while I'm pretty certain that there plenty of very acceptable Oasis & Voyage screens out there, a perfect one... I'm not so sure it even exists. Two Oasis. Two good screens. Two PW1, two PW2, two PW3 - all good screens. They have all met with my expectation. |

They absolutely do not see different things. The brain interprets what the eyes see and presents it. Take a photo in incandescent lighting. It is yellow. That is the real colour. The brain interprets the yellow out of the picture in reality. Screen colours will differ according to what ambient lighting is being used. |
