A fix was mentioned as a possibility - any updates on whether this will occur or is hoping for it just fanciful thinking. |

It will occur, but there is no ETA. It's a someday thing. Right now everyone doing development on Calibre has higher priorities on other functionality.

Use Acrobat or (insert name of your favorite OCR program here) to OCR it.
Save it to some file type that preserves the formatting and you have an editor for. Re-insert the images. If it is fiction (as it appears) it shouldn't have many images to re-insert. Hope the book is worth the effort. Better yet look for the book in a different format like epub or html and pitch the pdf saving yourself hours of headache. PDF books have specific uses, fiction is not one of them. Avoid them like the plague from now on. Archon |
