I acknowledge the fact that the development of the iRex iLiad isn't finished yet, and that I know that its software is still being developed before it can be considered as fully functional as advertised.

Thanks,
Ken

Okay, newbie here. I've been hanging around MobileRead for a month or so but this post got me to join. One question though, does this commit one to actually purchasing the Iliad and, if so, what is the projected cost? Or is this just beta testing the device?

So, at current exchange rates, that's US$827? Probably a little steep for the US.

I just did a quick count...so far 69 members from Mobileread and Teleread have been added the the invite list through this project...^^

Pretty impressive eh? The europeans should all have their invites by now, the US members will follow on Monday if iRex doesn't change plans *again*....

For the record, I got an invite in my email today, though I am unsure if it was from when I entered my email on their site months ago or if they are starting early with the U.S. invites.

Edit: I was able to process my U.S. order. The total came to $739 Pricey but not as bad as I thought it would be.

Maybe I accidentally added you under the Europe list...not sure anymore...or maybe iRex mixed it up accidentally. Entering credit card information is done after you have finished your order.
The price seems to be wrong though...or very unfair...:-)

No I just checked...you were in the US list...well...maybe they did start early...
