Sorry guys for not providing a feedback with an appropriate timing.
I can well understand that lots of people may enjoy the film as if it wasn't even called 'The Hobbit'. But from the original 'The Hobbit', PJ's adaptation leaves out the main theme: Bilbo's evolution. Almost no trace of it. The only drama is around Thorin's homeless company. People who searched for the original story and means in here, cannot be satisfied, and may have some troubles swallowing what PJ has given them in exchange. |

We are still rather early in the story. The events which make Bilbo brave occur later on. Let's wait and see what happens in the next film - I think it's too early to level that criticism at it yet.

But he's acting like a fearless warrior since the second minute of this first part. In the book this doesn't ever happen, even when near the Dragon, he's wearing the ring and keeps a distance
