I can imagine why you'd want to wear such an outfit with your wilfe (though I've never done such things), but for the life of me I can't imagine what kind of job would require you to dress thusly...

Well, according to my doctor, I am a woman. I keep my magazine subscriptions for times and places where I wouldn't want/need/be able to use an e-reader. IE, plane during take off/landing; trips on public transit when I don't have a large bag, saunas, nail shop where I would worry about polish on my electronics, any trip where I need disposable reading material. So, getting one for my magazines wouldn't make sense. But, several of my friends have gotten them mainly for the magazine feature.

i'm a woman and i neither carry a purse nor do i care beans about magazines or the nook. i, too, would rather have an ipad than a nook, but honestly there are other gadgets i'd rather have than either.

I briefly (13 days) owned a NC. I took it back, since it didn't fit my needs. I can see, however, if you want to read magazines and children's books, that it would be the device of choice. The screen was brilliant (in both senses of the word).
Personally, I found the weight-and-balance and the capacitive touch screen were not to my taste. The lack of a dedicated page forward button also was a big minus for me, since I didn't like the touch screen. Regards, Jack Tingle |
