I'm having a very busy weekend. If someone can gather all the nominations and post a summary status message it would be most appreciated.
Just about to leave for most of the day again. BOb |

Dang, I was going to 3rd Skinwalkers , ah well, I vote for it anyway. I love Tony Hillerman southwestern novels.
Downloaded Moonstone from Mobile Read link, thanks! and sent to my iPad through Calibre conversion. Last edited by MsAstoria; 08-22-2010 at 02:04 PM. |

This is great! I have been meaning to read Boston Blackie ever since I got my jetBook Lite, but I've kept forgetting about it.
Not that it has any relevance to the book, but I believe that the first car chase I ever saw as a youngster was a Blackie television episode. Fast forward fifty years, and I buy a Blackie radio and TV DVD, and this TV episode was also a thriller. I'd like to see all of them if the two are representative of the series. And I almost nominated Raffles! So I'm glad Harry did, and would have seconded/thirded it if I hadn't been beaten to the punch. In the meantime, my nomination The Moonstone is highly regarded by all, so I'm going to have to give some thought as to which I vote for. |

Boston Blackie is also available as an epub at Munseys, if you don't want to take the trouble to convert RWood's mobi or lrf here at MobileRead. I don't think there are any geo-restrictions at Munseys.

I'll nominate the first Nero Wolfe novel, Fer-de-Lance by Rex Stout.

Thanks, Moe. At first I didn't download the "Kindle" versions from Munsey's because I was afraid that they would have azw, and then I was concerned about the Adobe ePub as well.
So it is good to know that Munsey's is DRM-free. |
