I'm cool with the werewolves but put one single naughty Fallen Angel in in a book and you've just written a wall banger.

SeaBookGuy - Gorgeous cover.
I love dragons and, IMHO, Naomi Novik has a wonderful and fresh take on them. I also agree with the mention of the Earthsea dragons. |

Not big on dragons. I thought what Lewis did in Voyage of the Dawn Treader where the bad boy was temporarily turned into a dragon, and then had a difficult time trying to communicate with his friends to tell them he was the dragon they were seeing, followed by how he was turned back into a boy (and better for it) was pretty interesting. But that was of course a children's book. I want no part of dragon's in adult books. At least you'd have to come with something incredibly thought provoking to make me read it.

Dragon, and elf a story do not make.
Any story can be good or bad with or with out them. A good story is a good story regardless of the creatures in it, IMO. But dragons are cool..... |

Dragons are fine. No dragons are fine. Doesn't have anything to do with the quality of the writing. |
