Not many purchases this week--below is what I bought except for the freebies. My Amazon settlement credit ran out--I used it up faster than I expected because I bought some books as gifts.

I finally finished A Breath of Snow and Ashes this weekend. Then I watched the first episode of Outlander on YouTube and it was excellent! Glad my dh can watch with me so he can enjoy the series too. He'd never be able to get through the books or audiobooks.

I'm so jealous!! There is probably some url redirect thing I could use to watch it but I haven't invested the time in finding out how yet.

I wish these premium channels would offer individual shows via other means without having to subscribe to the channels. I'd pay in a heartbeat. Sucks watching two episodes of GoT (#2 was at a friend's house) and now waiting for next winter for it to be released on DVD / BluRay.

Thoroughly enjoyed the first ep. It ended too soon.

Oh I need to flex my google muscles! I just finished reading Outlander again (it's been a decade I think) in anticipation of the series eventually coming to Canada!

You can always buy the episodes at Amazon through their instant video. You can watch that on your TV if you get a Roku or Fire TV.

That's my plan if I can find some way to stream it during the season. Does anyone know if the episodes will be available on Amazon as they air or do we have to wait for the end of the season. This would certainly be a glomworthy series.

If they offer them. Most premium channel shows (Game of Thrones, True Blood, Homeland, etc.) don't hit the video services right away like network & many regular cable shows do.
