Without even asking what type of pizza? Perhaps Jerked Chicken Pizza is on the menu?

Wandering back in after going out to look at the potential aurora. Too much light pollution to really say.

Today's the start of the end of a year of packing, moving and unpacking.
In a little while my sister is going to do a final walk through of our new house and the get everything signed. We're straight into DIY mode; on Thursday the plasterer/painter is coming so we have to have at least some room free of wallpaper. We're hoping it's as easy as on the YouTube films, but if not we're prepared with extra tools. The plasterer said it isn't that much work to remove the wallpaper of two floors "you could easily do that in a day". I doubt it. Today my sister wants to remove a couple of radiators and remove the plates of the wall switches and sockets and maybe do a test of removing some wallpaper. Again, a bit optimistic IMHO, but we'll see. I want to take some measurements so I can see if the layout I have in my head will work. Next month on the 13th and 14th the movers are coming to pack up and move everything. I'm excited and looking forward to when we have moved in. But I'm not looking forward to the next chaotic month. |

Thank you.
After two long day everything is going well. Most of the wallpaper came of fairly easily. There are a couple of walls it doesn't want to come off, so we have to ask the plasterer if he can plaster over it (at our own risk). But things are going fairly smoothly, although I'm getting sore already. Today a handyman/electrician is coming by to make a list of the things we want him to do. And tomorrow evening the plasterer is starting. |

Getting ready for another day of working on the new house. This weekend's plan is to strip the floors upstairs and make the rooms dust free for the painters next week.
We'll start with my sister's floor. We think that will be the easiest floor. It's got carpet and linoleum. We got various tools to help us. At the end of the afternoon we'll go to my bedroom to see what we're dealing with there. It's got linoleum planks and we're fairly certain they're glued. And all the glue needs to be removed before the floor people can do their thing. The floor people are coming on Monday to see what they are dealing with and the plan is that they lay the floor on the 6th and the 7th. So at least we do have next weekend if we can't finish this weekend. I think we're going to need it. In three weeks we'll have moved in and are unpacking our things. |

It's the last weekend before we move into our new house. The floors upstairs are done and it looks great. So this weekend will be cleaning weekend.
Next week things will be delivered and the electrician is finishing up. Someone comes to take measurements for my custom desk is coming by and someone is coming by to look at replacing the 20+ year old ventilation system. We're moving on Friday and the day before the movers are coming to pack up all our stuff. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that everything goes quickly and smoothly. |
