It won't. What Frenzie suggested is:

1. Not possible unless there's some Pocketbook APIs to control media playback.
2. If there's a way to control media playback somebody needs to implement it and expose actions to the dispatcher/gesture manager.
3. Then you can add these actions to specific gestures and see if that improves your workflow.

Trying to attempt 3 directly won't work at all because nothing was implemented yet.

Ever since I have upgraded to version 2022.01, KOReader crashes at least once every hour randomly. There's this "don't panic" message, then it restarts and I lose whole progress since last time I started reading. I have looked into log and it looks like this (two last crashes today)

Hi. I have Nook GL4 and managed to download Koreader which is working great - way better than B&N reading app. Unfortunately physical page turn buttons don't work on the app. The suggestion is to try and root the device and map the buttons.

What is interesting is that left bottom page turn button seems to be working in a way it brings up the top menu. It appears to be programmed to imitate screen tap where the menu is.

Would you have any idea what is causing this and whether it's possible to programme all four button to flip the page (without having to root the device)?

I think new firmware 2022.02 made my inkpad 3 a little bit speedier for most of the pdfs. If it is objectively the case, just wanted to thanks the developers.

I should have biten my tongue... Under new firmware KOReader stalls and collapses nearly every 30 minutes, especially after intense usage of highlighting. All the annotations go. Damn!

The home button of our PocketBook Touch Lux 3 (626) produces the device standard library view.
After the installation of KOReader (as prescribed on this forum) there are 93 "new books" in the library.
These "books" contain the svg's (scalable vector graphics) of the buttons used in the KOReader.
Removing them results in crashes. (Cannot read SVG; which makes sense )
What am_I_doing / is_going wrong? (Strike out what does not apply...)

You're associating files with KOReader that you don't want to be associated with KOReader. Remove the association of SVG files. Then they won't appear as documents on your home unless you installed (and associated) another program that's able to view them.

Hi,

I am able to put the app's icon on the home page layout, but when I restart it disappears... I have been poking around and in views.json and apps.json there are some hints hot to add user apps permanently, but for the life of me I can't make it work. I was able to remove icons I don't need on homepage and by making views.json read only, that way a restart won't overwrite it.

Tried messaging support, after much struggling I got this:
