My washing machine (it was pretty ancient) broke a week ago. As it was old, there was no point in repairing it. Fortunately, an acquaintance had a used, but working machine gathering dust in her garage and she gave it to me. I was also running low on clean clothes when it arrived on Friday (I haven't enough money to buy a new machine at the moment).

I didn't say I am ecologically aware, the cat who owns ownedbycats is.

Actually eating bugs is hardly any more ethical than eating animals, birds or fish... There are just more of them.

I'm still hoping one day they'll invent proper lab-grown or synthetic meat.

Helle, my cat who died in April, used to bring still living flies beside my bed in the morning. She had only 2 teeth left by then, so she couldn't kill them properly (or maybe she just didn't know how). I guess she expected me to kill the prey and share it with her...
