BTW: Normally, a company would put each and every function(ality) in their ads, so why not doing so (and even changing battery life to 6000 pages and later up to 10 books)?! |

Yes, but since the battery lasts only around 100 hours if you are not reading and I suspect it reduces a lot if you are constantly reading. So it might ne hard to read 10 books in that remaining time if they are average sized.

When I'm reading custom pdfs I can hardly get past 2000 page turns. And that's with the cybook set to turn off automatically after 30 mins.

Bookeen insolvent? Or only Cybook no more supported?
Here's a new message they've posted on her website: Due to continuing heavy customer demand, Cybook is sold out. Because orders are prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis, please order now to reserve your place in line. We will e-mail you with an estimated delivery date as soon as we have more information. Please note that accessories orders will be shipped ASAP. In all cases your credit card will be automatically charged upon order. Here's the full link: http://www.bookeen.com/shop/productd...?ProductID=417 FW-UPDATE - R.I.P. |

Why sould that mean they are insolvent? It only means they are selling everything they can sell and that they don't have enough to sell more
That happened at least 4-5 times the last two years. There are simply not enough screens for the demand. I was one of the first to order a Cybook. That was on a sunday. They were sold out the next morning. The next few months that message was on the their home page more often than not. Last edited by Ortep; 06-11-2009 at 10:26 AM. |

"Sold out" does not mean that no more Cybooks will be ever sold. It means that at the moment they have no Cybooks to sell, but they are expecting them from the manufacturer. Don't despair, they're just out of stock.

Could very well be that Weltbild ordered much of their stock and Bookeen is currently low on devices and has to wait to restock/for the next supply.
I'd say, the more sold out the better for Bookeens survival. |

But if they had the money they would probably have had more stock.
