You might want to check out VMWare Workstation Player. See Workstation Player FAQs. VMWare Player will work for most people and is free for personal non-commercial use. For me, VSphere integration and the ability to create templates are must haves so I went with Workstation Pro.

I'm still in the painful learning phase of ebooks, but I have Adobe Digital Editions 4.5 running on a Debian Linux workstation with Windows 7 running in VirtualBox. I have successfully authorized the VirtualBox windows 7 with ADE. And I have gotten a library book from OverDrive in ADE.

A painful part is I am struggling with how to read the OverDrive book through Calibre.

In conclusion, ADE 4.5 has worked form me in VirtualBox on Linux. YMMV as this is a nerdly thing to accomplish.

FWIW, Bibliotecha library and Cloud Library are the same thing. You can side load onto your ereaders. Our patrons would have been up in arms if forced to use only tablets. While I PREFER to use my Nano for audiobooks, I don't mind using the app on other devices since I don't have to read from them.
