...if perchance you picked up a Kindle DX, I put together a temporary Mangle DX (from his sources and hosted on his website) until Alex can get a proper version put out:

It should be easy to port to Mac because all libraries I use are cross platform. However I don't have access to Mac for testing (or anything else for that matter) so someone else will have to do it.

New version of Mangle out. It's all in Python/Qt now, looks nicer, unicode support, easier to use supports Kindle 1/2/DX profiles, and does palette optimization

Or are you talking about the conversion software and the grey levels it uses (or something along those lines)? |

I think they were talking pre-k3.
I was wondering if this project is still up and running? I'm using mangle (under wine, so it may be me) and having some issues. It imports the images all over the shop, rather than in number order. So it means it takes hours to sort them (rather than just having to move the cover, or 1-9, etc). Any chance of a button or script that sorts them in order of the picture name? Mangle does a great job, but if it's going to take me hours of mucking around for each comic it decreases the software's usefulness. PS - running the project in wine because running the mangle.pwf file only gave partial functionality (no save or restore function, or importing of individual pictures. |
