1.9 (both desktop and WiFi update) are live today. It is being rolled out slowly with about 5% of users getting it today.

New feature list:

- Go To Page / Go To Chapter in books, newspapers, magazines, Epubs, and PDF files.
- Add wireless networks with hidden SSIDs
- Remove books and documents from I'm Reading (Close the book) via a new menu option on the I'm Reading screen
- Remove books and documents from I'm Reading (Close the book) via a new menu option while reading
- Add an Update Library menu item to the main Menu
- Revised graphics for WiFi signal
- Updated time zone settings

Although not considered features, the reader can also support the file formats introduced in the last kobo-1 update.

This update is just for Kobo branded versions for the moment. Borders etc coming soon.

Can you tell us what the new file formats are?

Any change to the battery low routine?

I haven't tested all of these, but I believe this is the list jpeg, bmp, tiff, png, rtf, html, txt, plus cbz and cbr. This is the list they gave us when we were doing the kobo-1 testing. Kobo is careful not to say this is a feature, which I believe means it is not officially supported through help etc.

I have no idea, Terminator, if this will be released for Kobo-1 or not. As you know, hardware limitations on Kobo-1 makes things much more difficult. The file part works on both. Just connect your Kobo by USB, create a Documents folder on the root of the Kobo drive, and then paste/drag the files you want into that folder.

Are they rolling out the update to 5% of users per day? My new Kobo wasn't updated yesterday, I am wondering about today.

So, we will address this question to JCKobo. Is there a chance that we will see a firmware updates for Kobo-1? Doesn't seem like GoTo functionality lies beyound its hardware capacities.
