How am I to understand this ? Do you have something running on a DXG ? ( I don't remember, but somewhere I came across some note about differences between DX and DXG ? Can it be so ? )

@FethryDuck
Another man made a localization for Kindle DXG. He uses another method to made Keyboard localization and it exists only in full Russian GUI localization... |

Is there a way to only change the clock to 24-hour format?

No. But you can intstall this keyboard localization hack and simply not use ALT-SYM menu.

It seems that this localization hack does not jive with usbNetwork hack - only the one of those two that later installed works... any ideas why this is the case and how to workaround it?

Actually, I was wrong: the keyboard localization installation disables a previously installed usbNetwork but both work if installed the other way around - I just forgot to run the necessary usbNetwork commands (;debugOn ~usbNetwork) when I stated the problem in my previous message

@meem
You can create custom *.keyb file with your symbols. |

Well, but will I lose the original symbols ?
And how can I make pages for symbols like pictures in post 13 ? |

My kindle arrived yesterday, I have build number 553210206, problems are described in this thread.
My problem is: Although the Jailbreak and Screensaver Hack installed correctly and without problems, the Update Your Kindle stays grayed out when I want to install the Keyboard localization (hack), and the update is deleted from my Kindle drive afterwards. Any possible fix for this problem? |

I installed this, and I tried to put an European file with some characters for Spanish (like "ñ") but when I tried to put it on it showed only russian ones... What did I do wrong? Should I uninstall the update and reinstall it with the spanish file?

Darkitow,
Keyb file must be placed BEFORE installing. (Uninstalling not needed, simply, put keyb file and install the hack again) |

I noticed but I didn't know I didn't need to uninstall it, and I did it like three times till I got the language pack well before reading your reply. D:
Well, I tweaked one European.keyb that I found in one of the early posts to include many other caracters from my own keyboard, a spanish one. I tried to "tidy" it a bit for easiness, I hope someone finds it useful because it's not only for spanish, in fact I just added characters to one that have been tweaked for french and had already some letters for german and danish, I think. |
