Yes, an interesting list.
There are some good books which I haven't read. I just finished An artist of the floating world by Ishiguro and would be interested to read some more of this author. |

This looks like a list I'd generate, totally random. I certainly enjoyed The Shipping News and Accordion Crimes by E. Annie Proulx and I know I'm interested in Things Fall Apart, those two selections would get my votes without even thinking.

October is approaching; who would like to volunteer to take their turn selecting the nominations for the upcoming rotating month?
(if you have any questions, you can refer to the first post or just ask) |

Can we nominate instead? I'll put forward BookPossum or issybird as the next victim participant.

No nominations are necessary for the person but those are excellent suggestions, as were the suggestions from others for September...but I think any member would be an excellent choice. Hopefully we'll all eventually have a go so it's just a matter of whoever's thinking of going now.

Hello - back from a weekend away. I have been working on a list of books and at this stage have seven. (I did have eight but the last one was "The Road from Coorain" which I nominated for this month, so that won't do.)
I'm happy to have a go, but if issybird or someone else is straining at the leash, I'm just as happy not to go yet. Meantime I'll try to think of another book to add to my list to bring it back to eight. |

Bookpossum, let's settle this to give you time to think on your selections - October is yours! You're probably good to go but if you have any questions you can refer to the first post, ask here or PM me. I'll ask for your selections here at the beginning of October and then you can post them.
