In early pictures of the new Libra and Clara, the UI used a sans serif font and I thought it looked pretty good. I wonder if they'll ever roll that out, or if it was only for mock-ups?

That DOES look good. It seems it was only for mockups, but I like its cleaner look. |

The sans-serif font is being used by the Tolino version of the new readers. -> https://mytolino.com/products/tolino-vision-color/ |

You can change the system font to any font you like.
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=323350 This has been discussed many times. |

If you use NickelMenu to launch KOReader instead of KFMon, then you won't need to reinstall every time you update the firmware.

You may need to update the kfmon each time Kobo receives a new firmware update. You can find the kfmon file in https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=314220. Use point no.4 KFMon (use this after a FW update) |

With updated kfmon, OP can still use the KOReader icon as a book on Kobo to launch KOReader instead of using NickelMenu command. |

Lets say you are not at home (on vacation) and don't have access to a computer. You get a notice that an eBook from Overdrive is ready. So you connect to your phone to download it and get hit with a new firmware. Being that you are not home, you can no longer run KOReader until you get home. If you do it the NickelMenu way, the firmware update won't lock you out of KOReader until you get home. |

@strrav, forget KFmon and go the NickelMenu way. Once installed, you don't have to update KFMon evera gain because of a new firmware.

Or you can keep a copy of KFMon installer on Kobo itself somewhere where firmware install will not overwrite it + create a NickelMenu shortcut that runs a script that copies the file and triggers KFMon reinstall

Why? That's just ridiculous. Since you need to use NickelMenu anyway, why not just use NickelMenu to launch KOReader? It works and a firmware update does not cause it to stop working.

Most of your comments are equally ridiculous. |
