AFAICT, SSH over WiFi is (notoriously?) unreliable w/ some networking hardware/setups.

I can't test right now, but I also have it time-out a lot. I will have to test a keep-alive setup to see if that is better?:

Oh, well. I usually just usb connect anyway. Just a thought - maybe turn off the screensaver right away on wifi ssh connection? Think that would help?

Ah, so -

Keeping the USB cable connected, keeps the processor from shutting down completely.
It may enter a very low power state, but never "clocks stopped".

So keep the USB cable under power, even if not using it for anything else.

Just curious, moderators. Shouldn't this be a sticky? Along with Yossarian's jailbreak thread? If I were just coming to the forum it might be easy to overlook them....

Yup, I had the extremely bright idea of refreshing the snapshots while my cable is completely on the fritz, so it's currently failing to upload anything at an excruciatingly slow pace, and timing out like crazy.

In the mean time, the stable versions are available in the post linked after each package

After finally retiring my PRS505 and replacing it with a PW2, I was sorely missing Calibre controlling my collections. Then after coming across this tool, my day was saved! After a few trials and errors (Doh! Missed the need to import from Calibre in CM on the PW2) it worked and made me a very, very happy man!

I do have a small question. I have some collections based on series. On my 505, the editions were always listed in the collection in the correct order on the device. Is there a way to accomplish this with this tool on the PW2?

Again, thanks for this wonderful, wonderful tool!

@danwdoo: It's always been a bit tricky. At one point, the sorting was based on the publication date set in the metadata (IIRC), but I'm not quite sure it works like that anymore on FW 5.X.

I *think* it follows the sorting you choose? i.e. date, author or title?

It's been a while since I bothered checking, I personally just kinda live with it, but I do know that a popular solution is a Calibre plugboard tweaking the title on "Send To Device", ir order to prepend the volume number to the title. Sorting by title on the Kindle then take scare of the rest.
