None. If people ask about my ereader, I'll politely respond with the benefits and the pitfalls. If they buy one after the discussion, great. If they don't buy one after the discussion, that's great too. It's their decision and I find that evangelism turns people off.

None. Not for the lack of trying
The people I know that read a lot , won't give up their paperbacks . The people I know that maybe read, want color and multi-media (not static, books). |

Certainly 5, probably 6, possibly another 2/3 this Christmas - one because I've bought 'em one.
Oh, and if you count your offspring nicking yours, and disappearing off the university-land with it, the certains are 6. I call it familial crime, but the Law seem uninterested....... |

One, my sister. I gave her my old reader when I got a Kindle. She doesn't read much but since she got her reader she mostly reads ebooks, only when she went on holiday she didn't take it with her because she was afraid it might get stolen.

Two-ish. One for sure. The other, my stepmother, bought a Kindle but doesn't use it much. And I don't think she bought it because of anything I said, since we only had one conversation about it and I think she was set on buying it before that happened.

I don't mind really, but just in case.....
Ghosty - should you see my lad, tell him I'm open to reparation offers.
Fat chance....... |

Four in all. My brother, sister-in-law, niece, and a work mate. I'm still trying to convince my best buddy to buy one, but she's managed to resist so far. She has to be running out of book space by now. So I'll keep trying to persuade her.

I detest those who proselytize. Of course, at the head of the list are those who knock on my door to get another customer for their church. Close behind, though, are those who proselytize for a brand. Whether it's computers, cameras, ereaders, or cars it's equally boring.
If someone asks, I explain. If someone wants to play with it, I accommodate them. But, proselytize, seek to convert, seek to persualde, none and I never will. A curse on proselytizers. |

I've converted 1 so far. My coworker bought herself a Kobo. She's bought 240 books this year so far. She's not techy at all and luckily she hasn't had any real issues with it. If she did I think she would've gone back to pbooks. I consider it a successful conversion |

pro-se-ly-ti-ze, whoa that's a new one let's see if I can say this (English not my first language, besides what the heck does it mean??? mental note to google it later)

and... on average converting doesn't work well does it? I bought my friend a Bebook Mini for her birthday but I don't dare to ask if she uses it, after all it is hers to do whatever she sees fit. So, if we don't manage to convert who is buying those millions of Kindles and the likes? Like viagra, nobody says they use it but it sells in gazillions? |
