They probably saw that the readers were on backorder from Sony & then thought that people would by from them without the enticement of the sale. Still even without the 5% no sales tax and free shipping is a bit of savings. Sonystyles was going to charge me $25 in tax . I should receive my order tomorrow.

Mine arrived last week when I was on vacation and was sitting on my Welcome mat when I got home. Glad it was still there!

You can still receive a 5% discount by signing up for their newsletter here:
http://www.abt.com/abtEmailList.php3

They email you the discount code which you can then use on your order. That's what I did, but alas, my red PRS-600 is on backorder and still hasn't shipped yet.
