Eos (Harper Collins) did something similar a while back. I discovered Adam-Troy Castro when they gave away Emissaries From the Dead. Hopefully Tor follows suit with quality titles for a while.

Pity I can't use that offer.

I've read "The Wandering Earth" by Cixin Liu. I liked that short story.

It's one of the few free e-books I actually read as soon as I got it (because it was only 25 pages according to my personal count, so why not)?

Maybe I should look into more works of this author.

FYI, in the USA, there are many areas where government, business, or other entities offer free wi-fi for public use, and therefore, where using it is both legal and appropriate.

OT: For the sake of privacy and data security, it's recommended that people who use public wi-fi also use a VPN.
