Idle Thoughts sounds interesting. That was one of my choices.

I hope The King of Elfland's Daughter makes a comeback. I've kind of set my heart on reading it. I'm glad, however, that I like quite a few of these titles.

Happy Boxing Day!
So, our first Book Club selection of 2013 is Persuasion by Jane Austen. Happy reading. |

I thought Persuasion would be one of the favourites of this vote. Looks like I'm going to get to read my first Austen. I always thought it would be P&P, but I was obviously wrong.

This will be my first Austin title as well. Just downloaded it, and I hope I'll like it!

The devil might be in the details, but the details are a slog for me. I tried not to skim, but failed. I can't cope with 15 tedious pages planning a walk before anyone takes a step!! Oh well, there are plenty of authors I can't manage without skimming, Austen is certainly in good company.

Sorry - missed the vote completely but will be delighted to join you in reading "Persuasion" - my favourite of Jane Austen's books from earlier readings. I shall be interested to read it again in good company.
