Tea, but it's not working. I got almost no sleep last night -- no idea why -- and I'm beat.

Well, I went on a journey and brought some knick-knacks home:
stamps for bread dough from Tasjkent- Chinese wall from Bejing-copper stupa from Xiahé-silk scarves from Margilan-necklace and silver prayerwheel from Xiahé-jade dragon hanger from Xian-tiny windchimes from Bejing-prayerbeads from Xiahé-tiny bowls from Bejing-copper Monkey on horse (from Journey to the West) from Xiahé-wooden box from Samarkand- terracotta army from Xian. And brought my painting to the framer. In my cup: cold coffee Last edited by desertblues; 05-06-2015 at 12:22 PM. |

Very nice knick-knacks, desertblues. It's so important to bring back "stuff" from a trip. Each piece helps in the memory process and when stumbled upon years later will trigger wonderful memories.
In my cup: more of that Lion Mountain Keemun. I'm on my third steep and it's going strong. |

2009 Burrowing Owl Syrah. From the Okinagan Valley, a French style Syrah, with little or no Oak, but lots of pepper and black fruit. Elegant, not overripe. All together delightful.

Nope, it didn't fight back a bit. Just slid right down. Meanwhile, my morning fresh squeezed orange juice, and now some more of this year's Anniversary Breakfast Blend tea from Peet's. I am truly enjoying this. |

desertblues, thank you for posting the photos of your knick-knacks. Just looking at all of them and tying to decide which one I like best gives me a clue about how hard it must have been for you to decide on just a few things to bring home from all that you saw.
Coffee in my cup and barely any cream. I am totally out and seriously need to go shopping. |

Definitely more traveling.
Cream. I finally brought home cream, so I now am waiting for my coffee to brew. *sigh* I so missed having my coffee with cream today. |
