Whether you set it or inset it, it leaves the string (with NULL when you unset it) in appreg.db, and KOL uninstall even doesn’t know about it. If you delete it in Kindle UI, it takes care of the database. I prefer doing this way, in order not to screw it up

(Yeah, don’t screw up any .db in /var/local/ , I learnt that hard way with my old PW3 a long time ago).

Is there a way to increase number of items per page in KUAL?
10 items (or so) per page looks like a waste of space on Kindle Scribe.

Hi, i need help running KUAL in K4 version 4.1.4, i jailbraked many year ago, so i follow these instructions : (install Kual papaerwhite)

My final goal is to achieve a weather station like these : https://github.com/jtslear/kindle-we...ay/tree/master

No special menu showing

I don't know what i doing wrong.

Any ideas?

I found these lines in KUAL.cfg that comes with the archive, but it seems it doesn't work:

Unfortunately, reboot didn’t help either.

Device Info button in Helper reports that this an unknown device, no platfrom, but model is correct 23M. Maybe this is the problem?

OK, so "didn't work" was when I set to 20. 14 works!

For the platform name, it looks like /etc/upstart/functions does not have the variable f_platform anymore. Where can I look it up?

No idea, I'm not even sure the code is up-to-date in the snapshots for that.

Yep, I found everything except platform name.
I added 23M as my model in the list of Scribe models and fixed the resolution. Although, I don’t think this is necessary because this is a part of eips drawing function, which is superseded by fbink anyway.

I managed to delete the KUAL icon when I cleaned up my Kindle.

Is there a simple way to recreate it?

Ok, this is strange.

I have re-installed Update_KUALBooklet (three times now, by copying the install binary to mrpackages and ";log mrpi") and at one point was able to see it in the list of books in the library on the starting page. I started it at that point and it worked fine.
Later on, and on all subsequent tries, the Kindle wasn't (and isn't) able to find it when I search for it in the search bar.

Do I have to re-install the MRInstaller as well?
