oh, believe me, there are still coconut trees. they don't know what hit them ! the whole region is paralysed.

i think they even closed the airport !! and the heavy trucks couldn't circulate on the roads.

That happened in San Antonio, Texas in 1986. 30+ cm of snow in a city with no snow moving equipment...(Luckily it started late on a Friday...)

Sunny, but -15 C, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Forecasts are even worse (down to -20). Too cold for me.

Marc, I hate you!

God, it is so extremely cold today. When I got outside this morning to drive my wife to work, my hand got glued to the garage door (had to open it manually 'cause the damn electronics got stuck)

It's gray and not too cold here (barely freezing). How is it possible, in a country that is around 400km long to have such big temperature differences!

Our morning news showed a great clip from Hamburg Germany. The weatherman was doing his forecast when a cat wandered on to the set. He just picked it up and carried on, thinking better to have just one distraction and dealing with it rather than dealing with a continuing distraction (he must know cats, maybe it was his own on bring your pet to work day or something!!)

Please post it if you find it.

Meantime, our rivers are overflowing with this 'big thaw' and lots of flooding, both in BC and WA.

Anyways, good morning from Wetdog in Vancouver.
