This morning we just heard that my elderly Aunt has passed away from a couple of variations of Cancer. That is three of five sisters who went that way,my Mother being the eldest. Relentless scourge.

My mother-in-law, 91, passed away this morning about 11:30. She was peaceful, in no pain, and had been unaware for a day or two before. She was surrounded by most of her family when she passed. She had a childlike faith that never wavered, and her greatest joy was her family.
See you again someday Patricia, you'll be greatly missed. 5-27-1930 --- 7-25-2021 |

Thanks everyone. Her Homegoing Service was earlier today, and was very nice. One of her nephews from out of town spoke, then our pastor, since he known her for a long time. Everything was well handled, and some family from out of state came as well, so we got to see some folks we hadn't seen for a long time.
The church that hosted the funeral did a nice lunch for the family afterwards. Home now, exhaling. |

Belated sympathy, Desk. A good death for your MIL at a good age which I know is a comfort, although it doesn’t make up for the hole in your lives.

Lighting a candle for my coworker Ronnie. She wasn't feeling well 2 Fridays ago and left work early. Tested positive for COVID the following Tuesday and has been working from home.
This morning her family found her deceased. Thoughts and prayers to her children and grandchildren. They were all quite close. Just hard to think the desk across from mine is now not going to have her sitting there. |

Lighting a candle for my brother-in-law, Richard Coffey, born May 25, 1955, died August 30, 2022.
He was the best of men, a great husband to my sister, terrific father to his girls, and the best Paw Paw to Mason, his only grandchild. Always willing to help anyone, I don't think I ever saw him lose his cool. He loved camping, the beach, and his family. He leaves a large empty place in our family. |

Lighting a candle in memory of David Forrester (davidfor). He contributed much to the Kobo and calibre forums and elsewhere on Mobileread. He will be missed by many.
RIP, my friend! |

I can only echo that his contributions to MR were colossal. A loss for us as well as his family and friends. Last edited by issybird; 09-04-2022 at 09:08 PM. |
