Ours are a red breasted thrush. Too cold in the winter here, so they usually go south, then come back in springtime to mate.

i live in the 10th arrondissement, just on the edge of the 19th. near the canal, the Gare de l'Est, and the parc des buttes chaumont (that's the one in the photo).

it's just a dusting to canadians, sure, but i think the last time it snowed here was 5 years ago.

We're supposed to get 1-3 inches tonight and 2-4 inches more tomorrow, with sleet and other nastiness on top. The snow is typical for this location at this time of year. The sleet isn't.

I can't remember if I was over that way when I was in the city. That's a long time without snow! In the winter we can't go five days without it. Stupid Pennsylvania.

That's absolutely beautiful, Zelda. I'm very happy for you. It's a shame that the Parc des Buttes Chaumont was closed, though I understand why. It's probably gorgeous in snow but very dangerous.
