7° and raining. Just remember that any salmon swimming along the streets have the right of way.

11° and cloudy bright. A nice day for a morning walk though the weatherfolk are promising rain for the afternoon.

The prediction for today is shower from late morning/early afternoon until late afternoon and around 10℃.
I'm going to the Keukenhof (flower garden) today, so I'm hoping it won't be too wet. Luckily, they have lots of cafés/restaurants and some indoor displays to take shelter when there is a shower. For Saturday temperatures of 22-25℃ are predicted, if that turns out to be correct, and it's dry, my sister and I will go to the Arboretum that day. |

I forget what it is like to be warm. It was cold over the weekend and rainy Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The rain ended during the afternoon Monday and it was nice enough during the evening while I was out. Tuesday and Wednesday it was nonstop heavy rain with a lot of wind. I went out Tuesday to vote and did some food shopping but stayed in on Wednesday. Forecast is for more rain Thursday but not as severe.
It has also been cold in my apartment. It's mostly at 68 degrees F. but sometimes has dropped lately to 66-67. Heat comes up rarely and doesn't last more than a half hour at a time. It was 41 and windy outside all day Wednesday, so 68 inside feels very cold for me. There was thunder and lightning between 4:30-6:00 on Wednesday while the temp was just 41 degrees F. A weatherman on TV later said it was our first t-storm since the fall, but I don't know if that was correct. We get it at odd times when it is not warm the past few years. Another rainy day. Although it should dry up for a bit in half an hour. But more rain is coming. Today's maximum temperature is 12℃.
Looking out of the window it's hard to believe that on Saturday it's going be 24℃ and sunny. |

44 degrees F. at 6pm today (Thursday). It stopped raining some time today. I slept through that. The sun was out for a few hours. Forecast is for more rain to come this evening.

Do earthquakes count? We just had a 4.8 quake with the epicenter about 10 miles from us. Very uncommon for the Northeast US.

Anyone see the newsroom videos from the Taiwan earthquake? That was either dedication, sheer stupidity or a mix of both.
