I've gotten the Rakuten points in the past on gift cards. Never heard of Mr Rebates?

Not exactly a discount, but I found it's maybe possible to double-dip on the Kobo VIP Super Points.

I bought myself a gift card to use up a prepaid credit card. I noticed during checkout about receiving Super Points for this. I then used the store credit from that gift card to purchase a few books. I also got Super Points.

Considering they fixed the loophole of using store credit to buy gift cards, I'm surprised this is a thing.

EDIT: I'm not seeing the purchase of the gift card accounted for on the Points History page - so I think maybe I was mistaken.

Perhaps that is what has happened with me. I don't jump on the code when it's sent. I have to think about it for a few days. I've gotten them to honor the discount code by contacting customer service, but it's time consuming and annoying to have to do it each time.

Once again Kobo is offering a $10 Cdn gift card when you gift someone else with a $70 Cdn gift card. At a WEG, the next time out, this will be an $80 gift card to get the $10 gift card.
