I've just had an email from Kobo to say that you can get 50% off VIP membership in the UK until 2 February with the code 2024.

Kobo Canada has again the buy an egift card for $60, or more, and get $10 offer. This offer is good until Feb 16th.

Kobo US has the same thing, only about 15%, but better than nothing, and I find myself using Kobo more these days. And I'm getting to the end of my previous gift card, so I'll take it. There wasn't a banner ad on the main page, but when I went to Gift Cards, based on seeing @KjellM's post, the offer was there.

Also expires today, so probably just a few more hours...

Kobo US and UK both have a buy 60, get 10 offer (dollars or pounds) right now on gift cards. In both cases it's good only through April 1. I never saw a splash/banner or email for this, but since I'm using Kobo more and more, I went and looked, and there this was. So now you know.

The offer is just on their normal gift card pages...

Here are the offer details for the US one. The UK one is similar, except for time zone (GMT).

Has anyone else had any problems using promo codes? The last two times I've tried using a code that they have sent to me, I get a message "This promo code has been used the maximum number of times."

Kobo US has a gift card offer right now for Mother's Day, through May 15. It's buy $50 get $10 bonus, and seems to be pretty much like all the other recent similar offers. I suspect, but am short on time and can't check, that there will be a similar offer at Kobo UK, and maybe elsewhere. Although perhaps not, since not sure Mother's Day is the same in the UK???

Anyway, here's the US link to the Kobo gift card page, and the offer just shows up for me as a banner ad, a little ways down in the page: https://www.kobo.com/us/en/p/giftcards

I have not gotten a promo code from them in a long time, but yesterday I received one in my e-mail. I used it on a book from my wish list and it worked without any problems.

From what I was once told, many of the promo codes are sent in batches and once the number of promo codes sent and redeemed is reached, the promo code is no longer valid. That is, if they send out 10,000 emails with the promo code, when it has been used 10,000 times, you can't use it anymore. You can also run into promo codes that are geo-limited so they can only be used in certain countries.

And also many promo codes seem to be one-use only to start with, especially the ones that are six random digits/letters, like X34B56, rather than something like a birthday or anniversary code, like BIRTHDAY22. So if someone else has used it -i.e. if you see it posted here on MR, or some other board somewhere, rather than being sent directly to you, but someone else got to it first - then it won't work a second time. That's why in the days of more Kobo coupon codes, people would come back to this thread and let folks know that a posted code had been used.

And, I keep pretty good records of Kobo promo codes that I've used, and I've even caught them sending me the same code more than once - that's more a while ago than recently, but...

Father doesn't do as well as Mother - the Mother's Day offer only made you buy $50 to get the $10 bonus. (Or, I suppose that could mean Father will do better, since he'll get a bigger gift card...)

I had just a couple of euros left from my last gift card purchase, and the last offers in Kobo US weren't available in Kobo ES, so I had started thinking that I would not be able to take advantage of a small discount on my Kobo ES purchases since the gift cards aren't as popular in Spain, so they weren't going to offer them anymore. Good to know they are continuing the offers.

Just as a heads up: Mr. Rebates is offering 3% back and Rakuten is offering 2% back at Kobo and I'm not seeing an exclusion for gift cards.
