x-files had a good run, and Lost had a known end date. I don't think your argument holds for either of them

Huh? I'm making the point that if a series follows one like Lost or X-files and it is a complex story arc, then it has minimal chances of lasting too long.

I never watched that show (no cable) and still learned something from it. Someone told me that someone on the show said if you want to keep your pants wrinkle free, roll them up.

A short time ago, I discovered a program on NPR called "the Jefferson Hour", that had a half hour conversation with an actor portraying President Jefferson, and then another half hour talking with the same actor not in personality. Seems a well put-together show, with an interesting topic for the few times I've managed to listen - it's on late on Sunday eve on our local station.

I love that show, and have a copy of The Jefferson Bible by Thomas Jefferson that Clay Jenkinson signed for me when he presided over the opening of one of our local library branches. I used to listen every week to his show on NPR, but these days I listen to them as podcasts via iTunes. Mr. Jenkinson is a remarkable scholar. His knowledge of the most minute details of Jefferson's life and his ability to speak extemporaneously on the subject are legendary. He once on the show said that the only person he ever met who knew more about Jefferson than he did was (the late) Carl Sagan, whom he met at a White House function to which both were invited.

Over 20,000 people have supported the online petition to continue Flashforward, so far. A lot of viewers are upset to see it finish. This is one of my favorite shows. I have put my name on the petition!

In my flashforward I saw this show continuing; I hope mine comes true!
